Fast for Fastned

Fastned is Europe’s largest fast-charging company, with fast-charging stations at prime locations in the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Switzerland. Fastned’s goal is to establish 1,000 fast-charging stations at prime locations, using only solar and wind energy. And we’re helping Fastned to move directly towards that goal.

To build these sustainable fast-charging stations, Fastned issues bonds. It is Whello’s task to inform potential investors about this great opportunity. And as the name Fastned suggests, we moved quickly on this project.

The goal? To raise €15 million in investments for Fastned within one month. The result: €30 million. More than double the investments for this sustainable initiative, before the end of the month.

The process

Together with the customer, we make it happen. As usual we kicked this project off with a brainstorming session. During this session we together determined the goals and structure of the marketing process. Because there’s no results without hard goals.

Scaling up the campaign

The challenge

Our task was to create a campaign concept that attracts investors to Fastned. This sustainable company has a compelling story and offers a stable return. We conveyed this through short videos, clear banners, and an effective landing page.

The approach

Due to the tight timeframe, the process for Fastned moved even faster than usual.

  • The creative team developed a persuasive campaign, testing various USPs.
  • Our developers quickly set up a corresponding landing page.
  • Our copywriter and marketing automation specialist collaborated on a strong email flow.

There was a great collaboration between the two teams.

The result

Within two weeks of the initial contact between Whello and Fastned, the campaign and landing page were launched. Fastned appeared on banners, in digital ads, and on YouTube. The visuals and content were a tremendous success.

The concept of Fastned’s bonds sparked widespread interest online. Fastned ultimately raised €30 million, more than twice the investment goal of €15 million.
